Sanctification is an act of separation from that which is evil, and of dedication unto God. The Scriptures teach a life of "holiness without which no man shall see the Lord."
By accepting Christ as Savior we are given the power of the Holy Spirit so that we are able to obey the command: "Be holy, for I am holy."
Sanctification is realized in the Christian by recognizing our identification with Christ in His death and resurrection. We account for our union daily, through our faith, that the with Christ union is real. Our faith is proven by offering our natural ability (at whatever level that may be personally) continually to the authority of the Holy Spirit.
