Sanctification is realized in the believer by recognizing his identification with Christ by remembering, daily, that union has come because of Christ's action of taking our place in death. The pattern of thought about ourself is like that of Paul, "I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me." Unifying yourself with Christ is worth everything we have because that unity holds a guarantee of unity with God for eternity. Jesus used a parable to identify the value of this union, "The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and covered up. Then in his joy he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field." The man knew that the treasure he found would be more than enough to support his needs and his desires. Are you willing to do the same and grab hold of this treasure found in Christ? He already paid the highest price. All you have to do is accept redemption and become clean.
