These are ceremonies held by the church and commanded by God that we follow them. The two ordinances of the church are Water Baptism and Holy Communion. We are commanded by Jesus to be baptized in water to declare to the world that we have decided to follow Jesus. The Lord’s Supper was commanded by Jesus to do in remembrance of His death, burial, resurrection and promise of eternal life.
