The tabernacle was a place where a high priest would stand as a mediator between God and man making temporary atonement through the shedding of a lamb’s blood with no blemishes annually for forgiveness. Suddenly when the high priest was ready to slay the lamb the veil was torn from top to bottom and Jesus who became that lamb was crucified providing forgiveness once and for all.
