The result of this disobedience led to judgment from God for Adam, Eve and the generations to follow. Man’s spirit at this time was put to sleep and was to experience a physical death one day. When Adam and Eve sinned a curse came upon them because of their disobedience. Their bodies would have to experience sickness and disease. They would have to know a variety of emotions such as, fear, worry, doubt, sadness, anger, etc. Their spirit within them was put to sleep unable to talk with God.

We don’t have to live that way today, “because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.”
